The Maguta Coffee Estate, run by David Ngibuini, works across Nyeri and Embu counties in Central Kenya and produces some of the most extraordinary Kenyan coffee you can access. David has worked on his fermentation techniques for many years and with the help of Project Origin, he has added the Supernatural and Carbonic Maceration processes to his repertoire.

Traditional washed Kenyan cup profiles are known for high acidity and juiciness, with flavors like black currant and bright citrus. This particular type of Carbonic Maceration can expand on these classic flavors, highlighting brown sugar sweetness and flavors reminiscent of red and orange fruits.
